In Much of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) God speaks to someone that they speak for God but the Ten Commandments came right from God’s mouth to his people. They are God’s way of living and loving. God touches on everything from idolatry to Sabbath rest, from sexuality to murder. The first few commands point to our relationship with God, the rest point to our relationship with one another. These are practical words for everyday living.
